Welcome!
Our organization is located in Gillette, Wyoming, and serves Campbell County and the surrounding area in northeastern Wyoming. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
We are not affiliated with local animal control or the city/county animal shelter. We do not currently have a shelter...our animals are kept in foster care or with their current owners until they can be placed in a permanent, loving home.
NOTE: If you are relocating to the Campbell County area and will be renting, please be aware that almost all of the apartments and rental units in the area do NOT allow pets. It may therefore be necessary for you to make other arrangements for your pets before moving to the area.
Mission of the
Campbell County Humane Society
The Campbell County Humane Society is a wall-less shelter committed to improving the quality of life for pets and their owners through relocation and re-homing; education on over population and responsible, humane care. We promote that a pet is a life-time commitment.
The objectives of our organization are:
•
Provide shelter, food and care for animals needing the same (when resources are available), either directly or through adoption
•
Educate the public regarding better pet care
•
Reduce animal overpopulation through the Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP)
•
Promote animal welfare issues through public events such as rabies and micro-chipping clinics and various fundraising activities
